Useful links for students are shown below. The essentials are all there, including the Student Information System, the University Handbook, Alloc8 and Key University Dates. All links open in a new browser window.

www.myspace.com/ massonline	The M-ASS MySpace - log on and become one of M-ASS's many friends!
sis.unimelb.edu.au	This is the Student Information System - the key link for all students at the University of Melbourne. From here you can set up and access your central University email account, find information about subjects, change your timetable, or (if you're that kind of person) view the University rules and regulations.
sis.unimelb.edu.au/ cgi-bin/subjects.pl	This is the page where you can check your subject timetables for clashes - just type your subject numbers into the field (press enter between them to input more than one at once) and press "Show Timetable".
www.unimelb.edu.au/HB	This is the University Handbook - here you can view the descriptions of subjects, find their subject codes (the numbers for each subject that look like 123-456), check the necessary prerequisites and corequisites, and look up other important University info.
accounts.unimelb.edu.au	This is where you can set up and check details of your Central University Email Account - an absolute must for every student. Click on "Student" then follow the on-screen instructions to set up yours.
home.student.unimelb .edu.au	Once you've signed up for your University email account, this is where you log on!
sis.unimelb.edu.au/ cgi-bin/scitt.pl	This is the Alloc8 page, where you can view and change your timetable for all subjects that use the Alloc8 system (subjects not using the system usually require you to manually sign up).
sis.unimelb.edu.au/ cgi-bin/exams.pl	This is where you can check your personalised exam timetable - great for planning that trip away during exam time.
www.arts.unimelb.edu.au	This is the Arts Faculty Homepage. There you will find more information about Arts than you can poke a stick at.
www.arts.unimelb.edu.au /currentstudents/firstyear/	This is the Arts Faculty homepage for first year students. It's full of important and interesting information for first year students.
unimelb.edu.au/keydates/	This site is (believe it or not) a list of the key dates of the Uni year - these links are incredibly useful for planning that holiday mid-year through Europe, or (more realistically) sorting out when you can start working after your exams.
